SlideTrax Accessory Details Released
The initial offering of SlideTrax accessories for the 2009 Tarpon and Tarpon Angler series has been announced. The SlideTrax rails will be adding more accessories throughout the year, so check back.
** Pricing and specs are pre-release and are subject to change.
> SlideTrax Dashboard - $74.99 MSRP
Base platform mounts across the legs and offers a wide variety of potential accessory configurations, including fishing rod mounts, GPS, fish finders, and more. Unit comes predrilled with holes that accommodate scotty rod bases, and can be easily drilled to mount custom accessories. Slotted edges on both ends accommodate varying kayak width and allow adjustment to desired position on SlideTrax rails. Simple attachment to SlideTrax rails via base plates and hex head screws (included).
Surface Dimensions: 4 ½” x 23 1/2″
> SlideTrax Sideboard - $31.99 MSRP
Flat mounting platform attaches to SlideTrax rails on one side of the hull and is ideal for fish finders and rod holders. A preferred option for paddling anglers that do not want obstructions across their legs. Can also be used in conjunction with the SlideTrax dashboard to secure an array of accessories virtually anywhere on the SlideTrax unit. Sideboard is easily drilled for mounting accessories of choice.
Surface Dimensions: 4 ½” x 10″
> SlideTrax Transducer Deployment Arm (TDA) $21.99 MSRP
Designed to eliminate the frustration of properly deploying the transducer on a fish finder, the TDA makes it easy when used in conjunction with the SlideTrax Sideboard. In addition, the transducer can also be easily pulled out of the water when not in use. The TDA consists of a mounting base for attachment to the Sideboard with a swivel arm for attachment of the transducer that is simply rotated into place below the surface of the water or stowed safely on deck.

Where can I find the T-Nuts and hex head screws for the trax system. I want to attach some of my own accessories to the trax.
Thanks,
Chris

Nice concept and when will they be available. How can I tell what year T160i I have (bought it used with no paperwork). Previous owner said was 2yrs old, so assuming ‘06′ or ‘07′.
Will slide trax dashboard be adaptable to older boats without drilling?
Thanks, Chris

For 2009 and beyond the Tarpon 160i is named just Tarpon 160. The SlideTrax are not currently designed to add to older models without drilling, but we are reviewing potential options in retrofitting older models. Currently the SlideTrax are not available as a stand-alone add-on.

Please visit your local Wilderness retailer if you would like to purchase the Slide-Trax Tie Downs (set of 4). The hardware you’re looking for comes with it. There would be some pieces you potentially didn’t use, but the t-nut brass sliders make up the bulk of the cost and they aren’t currently sold separately.

Hi I recently purchased a yellow 2009
Tarpon 120 - what a great fishing platform, I caught 8 fish over the weekend using soft plastics. My first ever attempt from a kayak.
Are these slidetrax accessories available in Australia? I live near Canberra.
Many Thanks
Ray K

That sideboard with TDA looks worth of buying but I wonder will it be on your way while paddling?

Re availability in australia
I have seen some of the fittings in Mainpeak in WA so imagine they are available other places too. (dashboard and screw fittings)
But Mainpeak could post to canberra(I would Imagine) as they mainly did not seem too large.

This is a nice addition, but will someone please address the lack of drainage in the seat area.

Gary,
The new tarpons have scupper holes in the seat. The boats come with the scupper plugs installed. They just need to be removed for drainage.
